Something not working, or a question the app did not answer? Email dayglean@sanutions.com. Dayglean is made by one person, so the reply comes from the person who wrote the code, usually within two working days.
Before you write in
The app has a Help section in Settings that answers most of what comes up. If you are reporting a bug, these three things get it fixed much faster: your iPhone or iPad model, the iOS version you are on, and what you did just before it went wrong.
Common questions
My Pattern Drop has not arrived
A Pattern Drop needs at least five moments in the period it is looking at, so a quiet week produces nothing to notice. It also needs the cloud analysis consent to have been accepted in Settings, and a working connection. On the free version you get one Pattern Drop each calendar month, and a new one becomes available at the start of the next month.
I paid, but the paid features are still locked
Open Settings inside Dayglean and tap Restore purchases. This asks Apple for your receipt again, and is the fix in almost every case, particularly after installing on a new device. If it does not work, check that the device is signed in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase.
How do I cancel?
Open the Settings app on your device, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, then Dayglean. Cancelling there stops the renewal and you keep the paid features until the period you already paid for runs out. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Can I get my journal out of the app?
Yes, and you should be able to. Settings has an export for both CSV and PDF. Your writing is yours, and it was never meant to be trapped in here.
Will I lose everything if I change phones?
Dayglean keeps a backup copy in your own iCloud, and can sync between your devices if you turn that on in Settings. Sign in to the same Apple Account on the new device and your moments come back. Exporting before a big change is still a sensible habit.
Is my journal private?
Yes. There is no account and no copy of your journal on our side. The one moment text leaves your phone is a Pattern Drop, which you have to consent to first, and it is not stored or used for training. The Privacy Policy spells out every case.
Dayglean said something wrong about my week
Tap the thumbs down on the Pattern Drop. It asks for a different read on the same week right away, no waiting for next week's drop. It is a self reflection tool, not an authority on your life, and it is allowed to be wrong.
